Saas eDiscovery in New York with the eDiscovery Breakfast Club

Digital Reef most recently partnered with a new networking forum for professionals to meet with like-minded individuals to learn about and discuss eDiscovery best practices in the industry and other related issues, all  while enjoying a complimentary breakfast. They call it- The eDiscovery Breakfast Club.

The eDiscovery Breakfast Club meetings usually last for around 90 minutes. Half of the meeting is devoted to external speakers who present on a range of current topics, while the other half is dedicated to a lively open discussion.

Digital Reef will be hosting a meeting of The eDiscovery Breakfast Club at The Downtown Association in New York City on Tuesday, July 19th. Discussion at the breakfast will be focused around SaaS-based eDiscovery. Of the many techniques for controlling eDiscovery costs, none has a more compelling value proposition to companies, service provider’s law firms than Software as a Service (SaaS).

Yet there are many questions about the effectiveness, security and quality of eDiscovery in the cloud. During the meeting Steve Akers, Founder and CTO of Digital Reef, will moderate a panel of industry experts on how SaaS can improve responsiveness, lower capital expense or reduce risk through better collaboration. Members of the panel will include Daniel Garrie, ESQ and Special Master/Mediator in eDiscovery, and David Whitehead, Director of Hildebrandt Baker Robbins.

A previous meeting of the breakfast club was held last month on The Myths and Realities of Assisted Review and Predictive Coding Technology at the Mid-America Club in Chicago IL. Steve Akers, Founder and CTO of Digital Reef, presented on the basics of eDiscovery; Determining the composition of the data relevant to a case, predicting sample sizes for corpus sets, use of full search criteria and analytics, relevant and essential analytic operations, and how all of this adds up to saving thousands of hours of review time.

Many more eDiscovery Breakfasts will be held throughout the upcoming months. The breakfast is complimentary and by invitation only. The events are designed specifically for litigation support professionals and attorneys from law firms and corporate legal departments.
